This brass Chanukah menorah spells out the word ?Ivriah,? which is Hebrew for Jewess. Ivriah was the name of an American Jewish women?s organization founded in 1926 in New York as part of the Jewish Education Association. Ivriah provided Jewish education for women and children. They also distributed ritual objects so that Jewish holidays could be celebrated and learned about in the home.
