Sarah Rafalowicz hand embroidered this Matzoh cover as a gift to her intended husband, Pincus Bertram of Dubiecko, in the spring of 1939. Their wedding was planned for summer, but because of the unsettled times it did not take place. Sarah did not survive the Holocaust.
