Fruit knives were presented as a gift to each of the children of William Strauss (1843-1924) and Pauline Heller Strauss (1851-1932) on the occasion their 50th wedding anniversary at a celebration at the Waldorf Astoria in New York in 1920. This one was given to their son, Harry Abraham Strauss (1876-1912).
