Id no. 122.95, Document, German
Representatives of the Jewish community in Shanghai send silver anniversary wishes to Richard and Johanne David.

Richard and Johanne David and their children, Rolf and Arnold, left Germany in 1939 for Shanghai, China. Shanghai had a fairly large Jewish population during World War II because Shanghai had no restrictions on immigration at the time, making it one of the few places where Jews could go. The David family immigrated to the United States in 1947 and settled in Baltimore.
