The French language Farfadet puppet theatre was established by Ruth and Simche Schwarz after the war. ?Farfadet? (goblin) was a character in French folklore.

The play was adapted from a story by Anatole France. In this scene a policeman thinks that Crainquebille, a vegetable vendor, insulted him.
