This flyer advertises two performances held in Germany in 1948. One concert was held at the Feldafing Displaced Persons (DP) camp, and another was held later the same day at the Landsberg DP camp. The flyer announced performances by conductor Leonard Bernstein, folk singer H. Durmaszkin and others performing classical works by Weber, Bizet, and Gershwin.
The flyer was issued by the Central Committee of Liberated Jews, the Agency for Palestine, and the American Joint Distribution Committee in the U.S. Zone of Occupation after the war.
This survivor orchestra performed Jewish music and ghetto songs as well as classical pieces to audiences through US-occupied Germany.
