This entry certificate was issued by the Jewish Agency for Palestine, based on British controlled immigration allocations to Batseva Jakobowits. The certificate indicates that Jakobowits was seventeen years old, in detention camp number 65, and departed Cyprus on December 17, 1947 on the ship Moledet. The stamp on the reverse side of the certificate proves that Jakobowits arrived at Haifa on December 18.

British authorities held Jewish "illegal" immigrants, most of them Holocaust survivors trying to enter Palestine, on the Mediterranean island of Cyprus.
