Johan Eisler drew this card in memory of his mother. The card includes the date of her death in the Terezin Ghetto as well as the transport number of her deportation there from Prague.
Artist Johann (Hans) Eisler (born in Prague in 1913) graduated from the National Commercial Academy in Linz in 1932. He was deported from Prague to Terezin. Before his deportation from Terezin, Johann gave his possessions, including his drawings, to his friend Eva Cecovickova, hoping that she and the drawings would survive the war.
