This small form, dated September 4, 1943, gave Johann Eisler permission to be outside after 8 pm in the Terezin ghetto. The reason given was Eisler needed to do “transport work”.

Johann (Hans) Eisler was born in Prague, Czechoslovakia on September 20, 1913. This pass and all of his other remaining possessions were left to his girlfriend Eva Czeczowiczka, in the hope that she and his memory would survive the war. Eisler was deported from Terezin and killed at the Flossenburg Camp in Germany.
