Tefillin (phylacteries) are two small black boxes which contain the biblical verses in which the wearing of Tefillin is commanded. Jewish men, from the age of thirteen, are required to place one box upon their head and the other around their arm, during weekday morning prayers starting at age thirteen. This set is small, possibly to accomodate travel.
