Czech artist Leo Haas was deported to Terezin in 1942, where he secretly created hundreds of sketches. After the war, he produced more complex works based on his earlier art and Ghetto experiences. The title translates to "living room." Describing living conditions in the Ghetto, Haas wrote, "whoever died, left behind atleast two or three spaces. That is how for a time, 75,000 and more could be taken into a town for 5,000 people."
