Id no. 1999.A.278, Booklet, Pamphlet, Leaflet, English, Ladino, Hebrew
This photocopied edition of the Haggadah is written in Ladino, a Jewish language based on Spanish and primarily spoken by Sephardic Jews in Israel, Greece, and Turkey. The Haggadah tells the story of the liberation from slavery and the exodus of the Jews from Egypt, as well as specifying how the seder meal should be performed. The front cover of this Haggadah contains an image of the seder by Arthur Szyk, a Polish artist who fled to the USA, where he drew anti-Nazi cartoons as well as religious illustrations.
