Deported from Prague to Terezin in 1941, at age 12, Helga Weissova spent almost three years creating drawings that showed the true conditions in the Ghetto. This scene shows a Czech guard escorting deportees while Jewish police restrain the crowd saying goodbye. For most, Terezin was a transit stop on the way to Auschwitz-Birkenau.
