Imre Hitter holding a chalked sign with his name. All of the children in the UNRRA children's home in Indersdorf, Germany were photographed in an attempt to locate relatives.
Hitter managed to survive Auschwitz and was sent to Flossenburg concentration Camp in Germany, near the Czech border. After the liberation of the camp by American Forces in 1945, he was brought to Kloster Indersdorf.
