In this is a 1929 group portrait of the Board of Directors of the Bialystoker Center and Home for the Aged, Executive Director David Sohn is third from the right in the top row. At the far right in the front row is Ralph Wein, founder of the Bialystoker Landsmanshaft.

The Bialystoker Home for the Aged was started by the Bialystoker Landsmanschaft (a Jewish mutual-aid society which helped new immigrants adjust to life in the US). Membership in Landsmanshaftn typically consisted of people from a particular town or city, in this case, Bialystok.
