The ritual of circumcision is held on the eigth day after the birth of a boy.

Rabbi Friedman began his career as a mohel in 1923 when he completed his first circumcision on his son Joseph.

Rabbi Friedman began his career as a mohel in 1923 when he completed his first circumcision on his son Joseph. Friedman was born in Jerusalem in 1898 and died in the U.S. in 1972. Between 1919 and 1953 he was associated with several congregations in Dover, Delaware and Coatesville and York, Pennsylvania.

The circumcision is a religious ceremony which signifies a covenant between God and a newborn Jewish boy, marking the milestone of his birth.
