Bet Yaacov was a girls? Orthodox School in Jedlicze, Poland. The photograph survived the war because Chana Fels (pictured second from left, second row from the top) gave a family photo album, which contained this photograph, to a non-Jewish friend for safekeeping during the war. She retrieved it after the war?s end in 1945. Of the individuals shown, only six children and the teacher, Bronia Brandeis, survived the Holocaust.
