Schuldenrein created this poster for an early Holocaust commemoration. It quotes Psalms 9:13, "He, the avenger of blood, remembers them..." Translation from the artist's statement (in German): Hereby I present a watercolor picture, which represents the fate of the Jewish people in Europe during the years 1939 to 1945.... If you look at it from a distance you can see the number 6 000 000 appear out of a sea of blood. Dripping candles are burning on both sides. If you have a closer look at the numbers you can see the Nazi persecution in its various states from the beginning to the end.
