Ludwig Biermann gave this card as a present to his mother, Hildegard Biermann, while they were both interned in the Terezin Ghetto. Above and below the stitching of his mother?s initials in metal wire, Ludwig added the following message: "To my dear mother, on her birthday: March 1, 1945."
